Recently in a facebook group I am in, I was asked to share what my tipping point was...I thought I'd share with everyone. Maybe it will encourage or motivate others.
My tipping point...
My first tipping point was about 5 years ago. I was asked to be in my brothers wedding and I knew the other bridesmaids were tiny little things and I was not. I didn't want to look like a big elephant in all the pics, so I signed up for weight watchers and got a personal trainer. In 10 months I lost 70 pounds and felt great. I figured I could do it on my own so I dropped the trainer. I was wrong. I put that 70 pounds back on way faster than I had lost it. And at the time, it was what it was. I didn't seem to care too much. Then I witnessed my mom loose 60 pounds without stepping foot in a gym and without being on a diet, just changing the way she ate. I also witnessed our lovely Jen loose all her weight. I started thinking. I am only 27 and I want nothing more than to be married and have a family. But at the weight I was, there was no way I would be able to be active with my kiddos, and I didn't like that thought. So on February 15 I made the decision to change the way I eat. I stopped drinking pop and energy drinks, I stopped getting fast food, I stopped eating ballpark food, I stopped eating cookies/donuts every day at work, I started eating more fruits/veggies, I started eating more protein...I started eating HEALTHY!! And shopping the perimeter of the grocery store. I feel GREAT!! It's been the best decision and healthiest decision I have ever made. To this day I have lost 51 pounds :) I still have quite a bit more weight I would like to loose to get to my "goal/ideal" weight. And I know I will get there. But until then, I keep on keeping on with being healthy.

Eating Out
I love eating out! Here are of few of the revisions I've made to my normals and some helpful tips..
Coffee!!! No more white chocolate mochas for me. Instead, my friend Krista got me hooked on sweetened iced coffee with half and half in it. I am surprised how delicious it is! I am hooked. And it is only 110 calories for a grande.
If I am on the go and need something quick, instead of McDonalds or Wendys (which I love), I have resorted to Subway as being my go-to place. I think it's safe to say it's pretty healthy.
Red Robin...YUM!! If you know me, you know I could live there and be happy. Absolute favorite restaurant. My new favorite there is the garden burger with a side of freckled fruit. I haven't even missed not having fries all the times I have been there.
Ok..now for my "eating out tip"..
If I know I am going to be eating out that day (whether it be food or even just coffee), I plan ahead of time what I am going to get! If I am going somewhere I haven't eaten healthy at, I will go online and find the nutrition menu. That way I know what I am eating before I get there! Plus, I will log it in on MyFitnessPal. That way I know how many calories I can still eat during the day, but still be fine eating out.
Warning..looking at a nutrition menu may make you sick! I went to Spaghetti Factory last night and the nutrition menu was gross!! Soooo many calories and soooo many carbs!! But I planned and alowed myself 600 calories so I could have a meal. I gave up my ice cream.
Man I feel like I ramble on. Hope that was at least helpful. Just from my experience. Hope you all are having a great Easter!

My first post! Woot Woot!
Hey friends! Thank you so much for checking out my new blog and following me on my journey. I can't thank you all enough for your support!!
I will mainly use this to post things about my journey, but I may also sneak in some notes from church or pics from baseball games. lol :) Whatever I post will always be positive! I am here to give all glory to God. No negativity, and please, if posting comments, no swearing or being negative!!
A little about me. I have tried many things in hopes of losing weight and being happy with my appearance. A few years ago I was successful with Weight Watchers and having a personal trainer. I lost 70 lbs over 10 months. Then something happened (I really have no idea what) and bam, before I knew it those 70 lbs found their way back to my body. Over that past few months I have seen friends losing weight and it has inspired and encouraged me. I can do this. I CAN do this. I WILL do this! So I made the decision to just start eating healthy. I stopped drinking pop and energy drinks every day. I stopped eating cookies, donuts, candy and junk! As well as walking or doing some type of cardio as many days as possible. That's it! That is all I have done. And I feel great. I have lost 20 lbs in just 5 weeks. This is no diet. This is MY NEW LIFESTYLE!! And quite honestly, I love it.
I am currently doing 3 different weight loss challenges, so that is good motivation as well. I also signed up for my first ever 5K!! It is in July at Safeco Field and I couldn't be more excited. I am planning to try and do a few this summer actually :)
Ok, I think I blabbed on enough for now! Feel free to ask me questions or make suggestions! I want to be here for any of you wanting to make a lifestyle change as well. I will be your biggest cheerleader!
